Gidday All,

Welcome to the Sunday Cat!, brought to you from around the world by the loyal team of regulars every Sunday since Anton AK first started the thread on 23rd Sept 2007 and so faithfully continued by John King from 10th August 2008(and it's good to see you back again lately each week John   )

Thank you for joining us

Photos can be more than just art, they can be memories, so come share your picture and stories of your feline companions with us Come one, come all; all cats and cameras welcome. Add your favourite cat shot to the collection. No time limits, taken any time, any place, any camera.

We have had cool cats and hot cats; Canonical cats and Olympian cats; African cats and American cats. There have been Meerkats and mere cats; moggies and high class cats; almost cats and some that I suspect were not really cats at all like that ring-tailed cat that was 'lost', inside cats and OUTSIDE cats; BIG cats and little cats...

No No Nooo! you cannot see me! IT IS DARK HERE! i am HIDING!!!!
Anyone caught peeping at the EXIF data for camera makes and models will be given a flogging with a cat-of-nine-tails ...

AND BTW folks: The Sunday Cat! will (mostly) start when it is still Saturday in the rest of the world, Auckland being GMT +12 hours ... So it is still only around noon "last" Saturday in Hawaii (just for example ... ). With the only preferred rule being no criticism, of course it's OK to give constructively if the poster specifically asks for it; otherwise the above-mentioned rule applies... It's OK to mention what camera and lens you took the shot with... if you like. Love the Cat! thread... Like our beloved companion animals, an opportunity for a romp in the sun, and also to remember those who have so affectionately touched us.

Last Weeks Thread

The weekly news ...

So now we have inside a cat, 2x 2 week old baby chickens, and two rats!! I think my flatmate is doing this on purpose!! poor dusty, he is jealous of all the attention they are getting from him! and I just know he can't see the logic in keeping these things in cages when there is so much house for them all to play in
it's great to see some new cats too! so welcome to karaya, olychamp, brad and any i have left out (yes email me and tell me off!) and as always thanks to wayne, robert, shirley, stan and the others for keeping things going around here

Should mice be green?

How about wheat bags?

A couple of older shots I found while browsing through some folders

Nice, Robert.

They sure grow quicker than Oriental breed cats!

I have noticed this with the villains from next door too.

That looks like a very precarious and temporary arrangement to me ...

What you had was one cat and two chicks.
Have you counted them recently?

Hiya John, it's been great having you back again these last few weeks
so what was the verdict? is a green mouse as good as a brown one to play with?
I hope you warmed those wheat bags for her!!!!

ah haha, you know my cat too well! my flatmate has put big signs on the doors says "please keep door closed - chicks inside!" and i only let dusty in the lounge if i will be there too! don't tell anyone - but he's already jumped in with them once! (when he left the light out for a day while he was replacing a bulb)

They have a selection of "mice" in a bowl on one of the side tables in the living room. The reserves are kept in the cupboard. The green mouse is about their second favourite one, after a very beaten up and bashed around white one. The current white mouse has been repaired quite a number of times to date. I also have one that's awaiting "surgery"

Interesting the way they will excavate through the non-favoured mice and other toys to get to the ones they really like.

When lost, green mousey can usually be located under the fridge, dressing table or a few other spots where they belt it to, but then can't retrieve it. Rare for them to lose white mouse.

Like all our fellow creatures, they are fascinating to observe.

Here's one wondering what I am up to ...

Buster likes to nap next to me while I work on the computer:

The other three, Eddie, Gracie and Anna, busied themselves watching a bird or a squirrel out front:

Green seems to matter less when it makes one comfortable rather than when it appears in the form of a mouse.  Nice pics of the girls.

Feeding the cats
In reply to warriormouse, 6 months ago

I want to domesticate the mom and her kitten from my yard. I teach them to eat from my hand.

*Darki is the aunt and already a house cat.*

*If I move, they run away. The 3 legged mom - Basti is close to cat exit.*

*Moms have to eat also?*

*The aunt Darki is closing.*

*They don't like the aunt, but I do*

*They look at Darki eating*

Maybe too much pictures, but cats are funny !!!!!

-Darki is beautiful

-Who is taking the pic if ur feeding them?

-If Darki get along with them it is just a matter of time before they rule the house.

Keep up the great job.

If Dusty is anything like Chyna and Dave there is nothing to worry about, he don't know what to do with chicks.
