I like the near-50/50 division in this one.
It's refreshing to see a landscape different than 1/3-2/3.

What an explosion of vivid clarity and colours. I love the tilt and diagonal too, but that should come as no surprise!

I'm a regular visitor here as it's only 15 miles from where I live.I keep returning in search of the perfect shot. Maybe someday I'll get lucky.

These are quite like the post rocks found in central Kansas, 300-500 miles east of me. The sky color and trees add nicely to the composition.

Painting the Space Needle

Shot from Washington State Ferry M/V Tacoma, departing Seattle. (ISO 6400 was an oversight)
For 2012, the Space Needle's roof was painted its original color, Galaxy Gold, to mark the 50th anniversary of the Seattle World's Fair.
The repaint begun recently will display an artist's design, "Trees," which can be seen at the link.
