Two Qs
Did you push the exposure up in the lab shot in post at all?
Are these examples of default in-camera high ISO noise suppression for jpeg?

Alan,
Thank you for the test shots - I appreciate especially the high-ISO, which is what I was the most curious about.
When you have a few minutes, would you mind giving us your impressions about the autofocus system ? How does the center point perform in low-light ? Does it acquire lock easily ? What about the other points - we know they are nothing close in sensibility, but in general how does the 6D lock onto subjects when autofocus is in auto-select focus points mode ?

No problems, regarding centre point it does hunt a bit, but nothing that worries me, the other points are very quick very impressive if that where one likes to go.

Early days of course, but I'm seeing some hints of green and magenta mottling in darker sections of the hair. Still darn good for high ISO, and those areas are not quite inside the focused DOF, so that kind of rendering is not totally unusual. Thanks for posting the examples.

Looks good. Thanks again

on the dog shot i'm surprised your shutter speed is only 1/40 when your settings are f5.6 and ISO 25600 !?!

Assuming they are all OOC JPEG, look pretty clean and smooth to me. You should get a bit of more details if you shoot in RAW and process. Do LR4 and DPP have already supported 60D?

Holy crap. Where the hell's the noise?? Granted the colors are muted and there's a bit of detail mush, but jeez, that's pretty impressive. Can't wait to see more controlled shots, especially with raw files.

Hi ASR45,
Just wanted to say thanks for posting the 6D shots. I've been lurking lately - haven't posted in at least 5 years. I have a 6D on order and really appreciate your thoughtfulness to the community in posting the update.

Yes indeed, it looks impressive at high ISO, and like a good omen for the future of Canon products. That's what I'm supposed to say isn't it? I'm practicing being positive. he he

Can you give us some raw files? Is that possible?
With low iso shots?
