That is certainly one large mill wheel.  A very nice set of pictures with pleasant detail as well.

It's the wingspan that's important!
In reply to 19andrew47, 7 months ago

This image taken with the E-30 and Zuiko 9-18mm lens gives the impression of a very  long wing on this aircraft. The camera was sitting on the end of the wing at 9mm. Although not intended, the reflection of the body in the shiny paint job on the wing adds to the effect. C&C welcome and encouraged. Exif intact.

The 2012 soccer season is already drawing to a close and I don't know what I'll do with my newly freed Saturdays. Here's one from yesterday (E-5+ZD150).

Denied!

Cheers,

Rick

River expedition
In reply to 19andrew47, 7 months ago

Decided the weather was fine enough to go for a photographic wander and found our local river.  Some shots from that journey.

Limestone Rock Buttress and Manawatu River

The Manawatu River with shingle banks and driftwood piles.

Dalmation at play.

Another two shots mate!!

I was working on my backlog last week and came across these pictures taken at the “Blijdorp” Zoo in Rotterdam.

Nice shots. I have always thought the Olympus kit lenses are probably the best of their type.

What I find intriguing with this wheel is the structure.  Unless my dim eyes decieve me it's constructured from Iron or steel?  Must be a good set of bearings to keep her running.  Thanks for posting.

It's a nicely balanced image and that snip of red just makes the shot.  Gee oyu must have a keen sense of awareness as to what is a good shot and what isn't.  Kudos.

I know a herd of Fattening Steers that would love that grass.  How on earth do they pass the ball along the ground?

Nicely caught moment.

Both very fine captures.  There's that castle again   Is that the Mull of Kintyre or the keep used in Highlander movie?
