>>>Saturday B&W Thread - 11/10/2012>>>
Nov 10, 2012

Hello Everyone -

It's time again for your monochromes of the week. You may post as little or as many images you have to share.

The image(s) can be from any camera, you can say what it is if you like. You can also say whether it was an in camera B&W and themode or what PP software you use if you like.

Reply to this first post and change your subject line to reflect your subject. Please switch to "threaded view" instead of "flat view". I try and respond to all posts, but if your post is not threaded properly I may miss it.

You may include the colour originals if you like for comparison.
It would be nice to hear why you chose B&W instead of colour.

Please be nice and comment on any photos you like. If possible, let's leave a full day for posting of the images and then we can follow up with comments. This should allow more people an opportunity to post an image.

Thanks in advance to all who participate and for making this something to look forward to each week.

Overall I like the color version better, but it was possible to pull more detail from the highlights in the feathers in B&W.

My mom, painting the kitchen cabinets in their new Queens apartment.

Also my mom, above their previous apartment in Greenwich Village. They enjoyed their roof garden!

LOL - realized just now, I'm hardly aware of High voltage danger - construction over the transformer is subconsciously guiding my eye to the window in the background, ..

Best regards from the Sunny side... :D

It's hard to think of "cold" with those roses in bloom and the sun hitting the stone, but it's a lovely picture. I like the way the stone is illuminated, standing out brilliantly (but not blown out) from the rest.

Good theme! Those spoons illustrate a good cause, but they also resemble an art installation.

Nice capture. I am intrigued by the round tank above the transformer. It must be an oil filled breaker. It is nothing I have seen here in the states. The hose devise n the top wires are a animal guard to avoid animal contact caused outages. I know boring. But it is what I do. Thanks for sharing Bruno.
