I checked a couple days ago and there hadn't been an update.

Here's where I go to check.  As noted by others, no new firmware yet.

Geez, I would have come close to that, I've been here over ten years. Sadly, Phil banned me a few years back. It probably had something to do with Derek (I miss him). Getting banned probably cost me 10,000 posts. I could have been a Forum Pro too *Sniff*

Up to a day or so ago I'm not sure that I could see anything immediately likely as a change in the RX100 by a F/W update..  but only yesterday - on what was really quite a different topic - I read that Sony HAVE in fact included in a F/W update for one of the NEX and maybe another camera too.. a choice of Disabling the Video button... THAT is useful for the many of us who actually have no need or interest in doing Vids but the darned Vid button is placed so close to the natural thuimb rest that it IS easy..in the handing of a small camera and mostly perhaps in the Vertical shoot mode - to hit that red button in error. It seems an easy one to do ..why they've done it now on the NEX camera...  so why not on others in the Sony range.

Eric you're right

that should be fixed, but somehow i believe Sony is taking more care regarding updates for the NEX and DSLR/SLT lines, dont ask me why but it has been like that for many years.

it might be because there is more money to gain in that area.

1) The ability to select a minimum shutter speed in Auto ISO.

2) Make the "help" button remappable as a function button.

Number 2.

Also, in DMF focus mode, if i manual focus then press the shutter button the auto focus messes up what has just been focused on manually. Or ill just get used to focusing with the mnagnified view

Just disable magnified view, press the shutter release half way, then manual focus. problem solved.
