Bad Kitty!! F-7F Tigercat at Fly Day
Sep 30, 2012

A shot from yesterday at Paine Field in Everett WA. More to come but this is probably the best shot of the day.

The backseater is getting his money's worth (paid ride) as the aircraft, which had been flying in tandem with a B25 Mitchell at about 100 feet above the runway, is exiting the flight line in a high G steeply banked turn. Kind of looks like he is having a "Whoa! Hoooo-Haaa!" moment. John Sessions at the controls.

Maybe he was praying those wings didn't decide to fold under the strain of the turn

Great shot.

IMO Tigercat was maybe the most beautiful aircraft during WWII.

Wings didn't fold until he was on the ground!

Great day for flying at Paine Field!

Thanks for the comments!

A few more from the day.

On the deck and over the speed limit.... really hauling! Couldn't pan fast enough. The colours are a bit washed out from shooting into the sun but the moment.... W O W !!!

I'd never visited SIMHQ until you mentioned it. Don't think I'll be registering there just because I'm busy enough.

and the entirely wood airframe Mosquito.

"In 1940 I could at least fly as far as Glasgow in most of my aircraft, but not now! It makes me furious when I see the Mosquito. I turn green and yellow with envy. The British, who can afford aluminium better than we can, knock together a beautiful wooden aircraft that every piano factory over there is building, and they give it a speed which they have now increased yet again. " (Herman Göring, 1943)

Nice pictures
