Just bought a set of Cactus V5 remotes to use with my E-M5 and FL50R. Used them a couple of times and they work perfectly, no matter where you set the camera and flash. If they are anywhere within 100 meters of one another, the flash fires every time flawlessly.

The one I use is supposed to be compatible with the EM-5. It's a little pricey, but is so much more than a remote.

The way I have used it, I am manually tripping the shutter. There supposedly is a way to set the Cactus V5 system up in a remote release fashion but I have not yet done so.
This is also a non-TTL system. I either have to do all manual flash or, I could set the flash unit up with the sensor pointing at the subject and use non-TTL auto.

You just need to get the correct cable to connect one of the transceivers into the EM5's usb port ....
