Actually, I have supported it with an article in Digital Photo Pro magazine...see:

Thanks Jeff, I hadn’t seen the article before. One question, unless I missed it, I don’t see mention of what level of output sharpening was used. Do you remember: none, low, standard, high?

Running the risq of sounding like a troll or an idiot i'd say that since pixel is essentially a point there are over 300 points to printing at more than 300ppi.

Figure 4 shows the LR settings...the sharpening was standard for glossy.
