RX1000 ARW files

I'm trying an experiment. But I don't have access to any RX100 ARW files.

Anyone know where I can download one or two?

Dave

I've found this so far: http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/sony-rx100/RX100hSLI0080NR1.ARW.HTM

And hoping if any RX100 owners would provide a sample or two to play with.

PS. If anybody would like to, you could use "drop box" to share a file or two. You will have to sign up however (or any other safe approach you may already be aware of).

Thank you for that link to an RX100 ARW file. I downloaded it,

So, here is what I did...

1. I downloaded from Adobe the (latest) DNG Converter V7.2 and installed it on my computer.

2. I started DNG Converter and selected Change Preferences.

3. In Preferences I changed Compatibility to "Camera Raw 6.6 and later".

4. I then told DNG Converter to convert the ARW file to DNG format.

5. I then opened up the DNG file in Adobe Camera Raw plugin under Photoshop CS5.

Enjoy

Just tried all that Dave, but DNG not viewing the ARW file (for CS5 as well)

Try selecting a earlier version of the raw converter when in the preference menu, at first it didn't work for me, but I selected 2.4 and later and Photoshop opened the converted DNG files.

When changing Preferences in DNG Converter... When you select an item in the Compatibility dropdown list, pay close attention to the comment lines just below it.

These tell you what version of both Photoshop and Lightroom will be compatible with each item.

I never select the Custom option, simply because I haven't a clue what it does. This is the Compatibility setting I selected. Check the comments below the dropdown. Its says Photoshop CS5.

Remember, you want to take a RAW file - an RX100 ARW file in this case - and convert it to a Digital Negative (DNG) Raw file. And then you want an Adobe product (Photoshop, Lightroom or Elements) to be able to read it in so you can work on it.

May the force be with you.

Thanks Dave (RX100 too) did try again but still no file being found - even shot a couple off from the camera this time just in case a problem with the downloaded one.
I've used DNG before so seems as if something isn't right.
I'll give it another go later sometime.

There are some good RAW shot pics here from the RX100..both jpg's and RAW...

http://www.photographyblog.com/reviews/sony_cybershot_dsc_rx100_review/sample_images/

and the RAW (or the one I tried as an example) worked out very well indeed with the (free) Sony Raw Converter ..
http://www.graphicregion.com/ablerawer.htm

On the one I did try out though..there's a shocking amount of distortion on the original Raw !! .. very 'barrelised' ... (pic..dsc_rx100_15.arw)
Somebody give it a try and see if you get it also .. ?
