C&C Requested ...

What's not to like technically ? Dynamic Range and Signal/Noise are a full and quite robust 8.0 EV. Pixel level sharpness, infinite. Bokeh, creamy as the dark chocolate night. Lossless JPG presentation

Artistically, I await the pearls of wisdom that shall eminate forth from your thoughtful goatee scratching. In the case of feminine viewers, I await whatever you might construe as the equivalent

In defense of it's minimalistic fortitude, " Oneness " represents a bold existential declaration about the state of humanity in our times - a moral study in the implicit contrasts between the individual and pressures to conform - an anthem to authentic and original realism surviving amidst mediocrity.

The image was recorded using my GH2 in RAW mode. Processed using DxO, 16-bit Lanczos resizing and mild USM. The masterpiece can be best appreciated when viewed at full 100% magnification.

I do not like the composition. It violates the thirds rule! The bokeh is terrible.

Apart from that, it provides a nice and telling summary of many discussions in this forum.

But it conforms perfectly to the "rule of halves" ! I believe that it is the smoothest bokeh possible !

You must pixel map first to get rid of that awful hot pixel that just ruins the entire composition.

But that would constitute a victory for the dark farces of conformity. A moral travesty it would be !

That is precisely what some "luminaries" think that they get with their manual focusing lenses ..

It is an excellent capture but IMO it would be better in black and white :).

As you know, the concepts of both black and white could not exist were it not for colors. I took great pains to get the "white balance" right - because as we all know, this makes for better RAWs.

You've plugged your shadows, which means you've totally misunderstood the principles of ETTR. Specular highlights such as those featured in this photograph shouldn't be used as your basis of exposure. ETTR requires that you ignore your specular highlights that are supposed to be overexposed anyway.

Excellent!

There is the potential of a fortune here. You can make a series of these and try to rock the art world! The name of the exhibition in MOMA : "New Dots".
