A nice surprise

Hi All, I recently spent time with my sister who lives in New Zealand i still live in the UK (with the miserable weather) but part of my trip was to South Island for 10 days. So i went with my mind set on landscape photography but i decided at the last moment to take the 70-300vr you never know it might come in handy.

Well unknown to me my sister only lived 5 minutes away from an estuary and this is what i found there. Glad i had the extra reach.

Kev.

Re: A nice surprise

You have made great use of it. Nice detail at the long end of the lens.
-#1 and 3 especially nice.

I'd personally frame the last one more to the right hand side. with the highest “step” closer at the border and more Sea on the right.

right decision
thanks for sharing,
