Cars missing a tire. Those green bushes and nearby gravel look - weird. Artificial blurring in post?

All 4 tires on the car last time I checked. Not shooting tires anyway.
Green bushes is Corn. Gravel is Gravel on the road.
No weird blurring in post. It's called DOF

Hi,

It's really nice shot, but if I would you, I'd be using CPL in order to minimize reflections of the bushes on the car ( Or removing them in post ).

Regards,
BM.

Very nice IMHO. The only thing I would change is to use a Camaro instead of the Mustang. Sorry, I'm a Chevy guy.

A lot went into this shot

Finding a location, positioning the car, positioning the light and determining ratios, dealing with the model, etc. Hopefully it wasn't 100-degrees and humid.

I also like the use of a long lens for this, which compresses and blurs the background.
Most people unlikely would've thought or had the ability to shoot at 300mm.

This would be a nice image of just the car alone. And it would be a nice image of just the girl alone. So you brought them both together very well, particularly since I'm guessing she wanted a shot with her car in it.

There've been some pretty lame comments here. I'd love to see other peoples' images that show it done better.

And welcome back to hell, Phill...LOL.

You are jealous of the car and the girl, aren't you?

Damn, I knew there was something not right about this image. Should have been a chevy....

No worries on the comments folks.

Adam Hope your doing well. I wish I could visit with you in Sept sometime.

I'm planning a trip out to Seattle again to visit a friend. Going to shoot some MF landscapes, and I might even attempt some 4x5 while there.

Anyhooooo,

Another from the same session. Lite with 550 off camera in a photoflex sb, and shot with the 300f4. I missed that her left foot was down in the grass ;(

I like it.

I need to find a nice "go-to" spot like that around my area for shooting cars in the evening. All I've got so far are urban spots.

Only a couple niggles.

1) I would have liked to see a CPL used to reduce the reflections off the sheetmetal and bring out the darker color of the car.

2) Would have liked to see it cropped just a little closer so the very bottom edge of OOF foreground was cropped out.

3) This one is debate-able, but I would have liked to see the shot composited with a second shot to get more details in the headlights, and also provide a little cooler color to them.
