X100 in ROME
X100 in ROME
Jun 7, 2012
Thank you all for nice comments.
In fact, x100 is a nice camera on the street, especially if you can process the pics as you wish I had with me d50 + 50/1.8 - very nice setup, but ZERO use, all the time x100:-))))
Others so far processed here:
I was just looking through my holiday pictures and was quite pleased with some of them, especially those I'd taken with my X100. That was until I saw these brilliant pictures; I'd have been happy to have taken any of them.
admittedly, in the hands of a good photographer like yourself
my fav are your no.8 and no.19
also the one with the person walking down the spiral staircase
I have a picture,
pinned to my wall.
An image of you and of me and we're laughing and loving it all.
I adore Rome, it is an amazing City and one I've been fortunate enough to visit many times for work and pleasure. As such, when I first looked at these, I wasn't so sure..... however I then looked at them again and they could only be, truly, a wonderful photographic essay with a large dose of originality and fun. Very well done.
Once again - THX for all the comments.
regarding settings and PP:
As simple as could be.
I'm jpg guy. I know pros and cons of RAW, jpgs just work for me good enough. I try to get good, meaningful frames - WB and other technical aspects are not so important to me. So: all parameters in-camera on MID or STD, noise reduction - LOW - I love noise/grain.
PP: ColorEFex, SilverEFex, Levels, Curves. Trying different settings.
BTW: Seems people pay too much attention to settings, specs and so... My main problem is to find an object, a light, a mood...
