Who would you nominate from MFT Talk Forum?
May 28, 2012

Hello, and sorry but my English is second language.

I have been following this forum for awhile, and have learned alot. There are a couple of forum members that come to mind who write long replies, and seem knowledgeable and make sense about cameras technologies.
.
So who would you nominate and why? Limit choice up to 3 persons.

Established writers like ...

Brock Yates - Two fisted talk about cameras mixed up with good whiskey, guns and fast cars.

Garrison Keeler - A gentle and romantic look at gear, focusing on his father's Kodak Brownie and snapshots of Lake Woebegone.

Qiu Xiaolong - How to shoot photos at crime scenes without your Shanghai Soup Dumplings squirting broth on the gear and avoiding denunciations from your local Party cadres.

Len ,

So sly and cold, they may barely know that they are being trolled ...

And what a scene if Joltin' Joe is confined to sit in the "dugout" through every "inning".

I myself would nominate "Bogus Acres", grand prize winner of disk-space squandered,

his verbiage crying out to be hung upside down and then most thoroughly laundered.

"Woofman" is a close runner up; someone really should make him "pee into a cup".

The rest seem to rapidly fade into an obscurity less memorious, well less than glorious ...

Don't even think about Doctor Detailia, as we all know he is bleedin' stone crazy ...
.

I myself prefer the slightly more glamorous, "Cheburashka", "Karaka", and "Vladimir". But perhaps it may be that his mentor and sometime confidant "Tyrone Wellhung" should rightly be the "poet laureate" of DPReview, likely rather to the chagrin of certain staff personnel who here go unnamed

For the uninitiated, that is all he one and same person and has only one thing in his head - Equivalence .

Read him carefully and understand what he is saying. Read his web page to get the proper handle on equivalence josephjamesphotography.com/equivalence/ and ignore others who really don't seem to understand or explain the concept properly.

[Hmm the full link to Joe's Equivalence page is a blocked URL here, maybe that says something]

Equivalence is best left out of your reading though to help avoid confusion. It helps to understand why smaller sensor behave the way they do but is not essential to know to be able to take a photo.

I personally think The Jacal, while having been on M43 forums for only 2 1/2 months may well be right up there with the others.

Two that stand out with common sense answers and a great understanding of their cameras are Helen and rrr-hhh. Their posts are always good value.

But my understanding of the DPReview writers request is that possibly nobody here would fit the job description, those types of people are mostly always too busy elsewhere with their own projects to waste time in forums.
