Sharp and well defined shots.
That 18Mp sensor is doing a great job, congrats!,
now I dare to think you're needing a more flexible lens.

Ha!, in that department HX100/200V is unbeatable still!.

Nice to see the Egyptian Geese are raising young ones. We had four of them flying wild here in the past, but I don't of any of them nesting. Excellent detail on the stork's head. We've had heavy rain for three days, so I can only look at other people's photos until it ends.

Nice shots and cute subjects.

I like the # 2 and #5 best. 300mm seams to be long enough for semi-wild ducky shots.

I went to the big lake for some landscape shots today, but it was too sunny and nice. Too many people are swimming, laying around and sunbathing. I didn't take out the camera at all to avoid disturbing them. I have been jumping in the water with all chicks, all day long.

Not closer but farther
In reply to ASR45, May 25, 2012

I don't mean closer Alan: it's more than enough (and possibly convenient), but farther, to get more alternatives and angles to composed the shots without scaring, squashing the subjects and/or get your knees muddy, and more working DOF options also.

A more flexible lens.

Many thanks Janice, what ever i am using i always apply the tetniques i have learnt for many years, the one key principal in my eyes is that you have to control ones breathing before firing the shot

Delightful series. Egyptian geese are indigenous to our area. many pairs at most water areas. It is mazing these birds mate for life, more than we can say about our species :-).

Regards.
