What are your favourite accessories (not lenses) for your NEX? Accessories that have made your photography easier. Thanks that you can't live without.

Shooting a Nex can really yield some great rsults and sometimes be fun also, but a DSLR is really a better photographic tool. Just so bulky and heavy with 1 or 2 extra le ses.

Why would any generic DSLR be a better photographic tool? There are DSLRs that have inferior sensors to the sensors in the NEX 5N and 7. While the sensor isn't the be all and end all, I'd like to hear why you think the Nikon 5100, which won a silver award from dpreview is a better photographic tool than the gold awarded NEX-5N or 7 (and these rankings don't prove my point; I am asking you to prove your point). Thanks in advance.

And then I'd like to hear why you even bothered to make the response you made to the topic started here about NEX accessories???

Totally irrelevant to the original post.

Anyway, I think my most useful accessories has got to be the cheap extension tubes I got for my Rokkor lenses. They're tiny and I can put them anywhere. Very useful when I need a higher magnification ratio and don't have a macro lens with me.

Does the accessory flash count?

The HVLF20s, it's really worth paying extra for. Great for indoor group shots when bounced. Much more powerful than stock flash with bounce mod.

L-bracket like this one:

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/859066-REG/JTec_12_001_K_L_Bracket_Tripod_Mount_for.html

Lensband if you have the Sony SEL 18-200.

I have the Sony wireless remote with the A900 but if you don't have one it is great, beats using the self timer.

Guys, guys... you're all totally missing the point. You should save your expensive cold-pressed olive oils for drizzling and dipping, and use the cheap refined stuff for cooking.

My favorite NEX accessory is the FDA-EV1S (EVF). I use it as much as feasible.

What's with not being able to edit your posts any more? I made a typo in the original post and I can't fix it. I meant to say...

Things you can live without.

Thanks to those who have already posted replies.

Or maybe it was meant to be "Thanks you can live without"... as in "thanks DPR for the wonderful editing feature"

I don't have a ton of accessories for my 7 but the 2 that I have been using a lot lately are the IR remote and the slr gorilla pod. Makes for a great walk around combo.

I would like to hear comments on aftermarket flashes and which are the better ones to use on a 7.

For me it's the Contax G adapter, even though I hate it and it hates me.

Honorable mention goes to the LA-EA2 for helping to fill a couple of holes in the native lens line-up.

Amazon lists this as compatible with the Nex 5. Does it work with the 7?
