My a77 sss icon is always blinking on the top right corner even on the tripod is that normal?

tried seaching the forum but couldnt get nothing about it.

I think that icon reminds you the ss is slow enough to suggest sss, even if you dont intend to use it. Just ignore it.

You should, however, turn SteadyShot off when using a tripod.

Have you ever tried it with SSS off while on a tripod?... no sarcasm... I have never turned it off but was going to once I got my piggy back mount for my 10" Telescope and wondered if phantom noise would hurt a long shot due to having a drive motor on an equatorial mount with sss enabled? I've only been able to attempt a 5-10 min exposure due to wind that night.
