Great variety of shots and love the colours in these and the flickr shots. Very well done and you must have had fun there.

Danny.

Worry about the image that comes out of the box, rather than the box itself.

Thanks
I'm very satisfied with this lens. I think its optimal for traveling.

Using maximum focusing 200 mm is great for "think" and secret picture of people or pictures of animals.

I took lot of photos during the trip from bus - with seting 1/4000 - again excelent.
I took 16mm lens for trip too but I didnt have reason to use it.

I can say I have only one Negative: autofocusing AF with maximum focus 200 m or in bad light - picture were sometimes unsharp. But this is not problem of lens but camera. For this cases were necessary to use DFM and center focusing and then result was great.

The photo of the girl shows a person who already has a worn look of living hard times. Nice shot. I also really like the tree and field shot that follows. They're all pretty good. I get so close to Madagascar when I am in South Africa each year that I am determined to pop over for a visit . . . maybe next year.

Very beautiful all of the images.

I have a question about the second from bottom (dsc03556): was this shot taken with hdr? If not, how did you get the sky AND the foreground to look that good and bright? Whenever I shoot landscapes I have too bright sky or too dark foreground...

Thanks again

I did'nt used HDR in one of photos.

For all nice "blue skies" I used presets from this free pack - "vol 3" - "Blue skies medium" or "strong"

My Tamron just arrived over the weekend. Im pleased with the weight and size of it. Fits nicely in my day bag with out adding too much weight.

Off to Cornwall in 2 weeks (south west cost of the UK for those who dont know it) and think it will make a great travel companion.

I found it to be a little soft but still usable at 200mm in the test shots i took over the weekend (I transfer them to my tablet and view the Jpegs on my TV before transfering the RAW files to my laptop). I only had it stopped down to f8 it may sharpen up a little more, but will do more test shots.

I also purchased a Raynox dcr-150 that id seen recomended in various threads. Unfortunately it vignettes on this lens at almost all focal lengths except around 70mm but found the images still usable with a little cropping. The working distance is tiny though.
I enjoyed your photos. Thanks for sharing
