I love the last, particularly the aspect and lighting. But maybe a they're a touch oversharpened, maybe just my monitor?

Good set. Not a fan of bird shots. They're too...birdy.
But this is elevated into more than a photograph by the pose. Very good.

and this is probably more intriguing to me than you cos you know what that background is. Really like it.

It was a good day due to the light overcast. That meant no squinting or sunglasses. the drummers were fun. Actually the shakuhachi player was the real star in my opinion. The drumming was good, but you could tell his love was the flute.

I haven't processed all the images yet.

The building is often referred to as Manchester's Marmite because you either love it of loathe it (just like the real thing). Taken with the E-PL1 in bloody awkward lighting and cooked from raw in Aperture:

Apols for lack of a DPR gallery version but DPR uploading has decided to take the day off.

Thanks man. The longest length I had with me was the 45 so birds (which are not shy at Animal Kingdom) were my best bet... but yeah not much of a birder either

and this is probably more intriguing to me than you cos you know what that background is. Really like it.

I was trying to make the reflection of the sky in windblown water look like a trippy version of the actual sky... turned out interesting. Wish I had used a smaller aperture however.

Interesting idea -- have you tried it in B&W and experiment with cropping? Thanks for sharing!

JH -- awesome set. You live in a wonderful, beautiful city. The GH2 and 9-18 are a perfect match for your style and way of seeing.

I especially appreciate and enjoy the following images. Well done!

Well there goes the neighborhood

What a delightful experience. Nature came to visit you! 600mm equivalent and cropping -- I am sure you were weary of getting too close. The IBIS appears to have saved you a bit of ISO, given the slow aperture at the long end of that lens. Nice images!

By the way this exact combo is exciting to me. The EM5 and the 75-300. Can't get much smaller for that kind of reach.
