Flight Path of Plane from London City Airport

Here's some fun with planes taken with my EP1... still waiting for my OMD Silver

I took multiple shots of this plane taking off from the city airport. This is the result of combining the different shots.

I wanted to do something similar at night time. I love night shots, so I decided that it might be cool to capture the light trails of the plane during the take off. This time I took the shot from the side to capture the light trails. My girlfriend said that it looks like some kinda strange bridge.

I use a gorillapod. It's great because its so versatile and portable. I have a porper tripod but will only take it out rarely. I also use a shutter release to avoid camera shake.

lucas, the 1st one is ridiculously creative...but i would try it in reverse where the darkest was at the back of the pic and the lightest ghost like was at the forground.

props to you. really good.

Yes, take multiple shots in burst mode. You'll then have the same scene with the moving object in different places. You can then load it into your favourite post processing software and layer the images, ghosting the bottom images. I used photoshop.

Alternatively, the PEN's can combine shots in-camera. I haven't used it, but imagine something similar could be achieived?

Lightroom doesn't have layers, unfortunately. But I do have a Oly Pen; will give it a try.
