Point Bonita Lighthouse
In reply to SLOtographer, May 5, 2012

This lighthouse is just north of San Francisco in the Marin headlands. It's been closed for some years, but they recently finished building the new bridge that you see, and it opened to the public again about 2/3 weeks ago. It all looked a bit monochromatic, with the white bridge, white lighthouse, white misty skies etc, so I decided I should concert it to B&W and make the most of it. PP with LR3 then solver Efex Pro 2.

The second elephant image is enjoyable. Makes one appreciate the animal. Great work with legacy glass!

A Subtle Sunset
In reply to SLOtographer, May 5, 2012

I headed out to the seashore on a rather cloudy night hoping for some subtle colors at sunset. There were a bit more clouds than I anticipated, but I did get the subtle colors. C&C Welcome!

Paul! Lovely work. I especially appreciate your timing in these shots. You are very perceptive and wait for just the right moment. Nicely done! Your captioning also enhances vewing experience.

The image with the woman in pink in front of the mass of runners is the strongest image. It tells the story and portrays well the event. Well done and congrats on the EM5.

Hey Jonathan,

I liked the arc of the beach on the first one, and the green of the seaweed on the fourth - I think its introduces an unexpected colour into the scene.

Did you stay to capture the more vibrant colours as the sun went down?
