OM-D at Broadway Camera House Sydney
May 5, 2012

Saw a black OM-D on the shelf at Broadway Camera House Sydney this morning. If anyone would like to buy it and tell me how well it works with Oly's 4/3 SHG glass, I'd be most grateful
Cheers,
Rob

Bizarre request
In reply to xtforest, May 5, 2012

You're asking someone to buy it in that store.. to then tell you how SHG glasses perform on it ?!?!?

Use the search function on that thread.. people have already posted their experiences (if you don't mind reading peoples experiencing using that camera bought from another store) . If you need to know something more specific.. then please be more specific in your request.

What is special about the one you saw in Broadway?

Is it different to the one I bought at J&B in Castlereigh St?

I wonder what else you bought in this manner. Your car? House?

The foolishness of your approach is that you assume those responding to your question will know what they are talking about.

Hopefully you are just 'cheap' and not that foolish.

My apologies. Obviously my sarcasm hit a few raw nerves. I was under the impression that the EM-5 was not yet widely available in Australia. I'll just slink on back to the Oly forum where there are many potential users who are genuinely interested in the SHG issue, which IMHO hasn't really been thoroughly addressed.
BTW I don't think my gear profile qualifies me as "cheap"
Normal service has been resumed...

A friend saw the E-M5 in the local Hornsby Paxtons store, so they are populating the stores as we speak.

As for your request, take your SHG lenses to a store and ask if you can try them on their E-M5. But best to ring first to A. make sure they will allow it and B. make sure they have the MMF-3 or MMF-2 available. And C. if you decide to proceed, do the right thing and buy from the same store.

Regards...... Guy

our fellow americans and europeans are a touch wet around the ears when it comes to humour, especially australian humour

I think it's a joke and I think he was offering to let people know the camera is there and in stock when in most places in the world pre-orders are still a long way from shipping.

I have a HG 12-60 SWD, haven't mounted it on the M5 yet. I've heard the FT lenses focus slowly, but accurately.
