They don't belief their eyes and instruments, about the same as with the neutrino debacle but then in reverse...

The other brands provide DxO with cameras to test... for some reason Oly didnt do the same, so, they have to buy from retail......

They're engineering a new DR scale because the old one doesn't go high enough.

They're having to redesign their tests.

Wait, it the only thing to do, they will make the tests for sure, maybe they had to buy the camera, I think Dpreview get a sample camera, but not all the other sites have this facility

Well, you clearly beat them to it with your UFRaw based scientific measurements. Congratulations.

Let's think this through....
In reply to stimmer, May 5, 2012

a cursory looks like they have tested like every single Pen that has come out, the E-3, the E-620, the E-420, the E-450, the E-520, the E-5...

Why on Earth would you think they won't test the EM5?

Sometimes their testing with some cameras takes time. It's the way it is. There could be many reasons for this.

Or maybe they won't get around to it because they are against Olympus or something? Is that the thinking? Come on man!

I am myself rather doubting that any such speculation will remain an operational theory once DxOMark releases their Dynamic Range at base ISO Gain specification for the E-M5. Buckle up ...

Why would DxO care about the sales figures for any particular camera?

(In general), there would be only two (even very remotely) possible speculatative reasons:

(1) It is a pricey dSLR requiring the more expensive Elite Version of DxO Optics Pro (not apllicable to the E-M5). I suppose that one could fantasize that delaying less expensive cameras tests helps;

(2) People's wildly lucid paranoia that DxO Labs' contractual obligations in their onging relationship of several years with the Sony Corporation implies market manipulation is indeed true (prove it) .
