Beautiful portraits, thanks for sharing. All at 100mm. Is this the 100mm f/2.8L lens? Looks great.

Yes it is the new 100 mm F2 .8 L IS macro.

Very sharp lens and perhaps should not be used on females/close-ups as it will show every little defect... however Photoshop comes to the rescue and the results are great.

AMAZING!!!!! (warning: ironi may be involved...)
In reply to Mark Kanawati, Apr 30, 2012

Wow I am SO happy that you posted these overcooked images. I was actually just wondering if the 5D mkIII is able to not only shoot outdoors, but at the very same time it can actually shoot models. Who knew!?! Your overcooking in post really helps to show the details that this camera can show. Great job!

Wow I am SO happy you posted this needlessly offensive attack on the OP. I was actually just wondering about the difference between irony (that's with a "y" by the way) and sarcasm, and it looks like there's no difference at all. Who knew!?! Your post really helps to show why DPR has the reputation it does. Great job!

Great shots, but did you add the noise (which I find quite obvious especially in the bw ones...)?

no additions... Everything is original... I manipulated color and lighting just a bit and as you know on many occasions (less is more...) It's a trick that's hard to master.

Nice shots. Watch out for her foot/leg growing out of her head on the second shot. I don't like how her, umm, "head pose" is basically the same in both shots.

Those toe hooks in her ears are out of style, but that's not your fault.

Toranaga probably meant the aggressive air-brushing on the subject's face that makes the face looks plasticy, kinda like manikin. I noticed that right away too.

Toranaga,

You truly are an ass. That's not as easy to fix as a photograph.
