Your two most recent series are very good. When I see the quality of this work I am left wondering how a $3,000 FF camera could improve upon it.

I thought that these were nice, but my eyes popped when I saw that they're shot at 3200 ISO. My K20D is starting to look a little long in the tooth....

My thoughts exactly, I have a K20D not getting much use.

The K01 looks pefect for studio and product work, can it do tethered shooting to laptop?

Great work!

yea ive been very curious about the k-01 but i like to really peep before i buy. they dont yet have the crop comparisons for the iso ranges on the k-01, and jpegs from comparometer r not accurate. hope dp adds the raws soon. full manual video and good iso performance could actually pull me to a mirrorless.

I tether through Eye-Fi card. Works like a charm, and I manage all the images coming through Adobe Lightroom.

Could live without an optical or electronic viewfinder, but I wish this camera had a tilt-able LCD screen. If you could put it up 90 degrees, making it horizontal, the camera could be used with stable waist-level viewing as we did with Twin Lens Reflexes and Single Lens Reflexes in the film era. I think that's a serious omission. The basic shape invites that type of approach.

I agree. My main knock against the K-01, otherwise I love it.

I sometimes do a modified waist-level stance, that is, I hold it low with two arms at right angle & my elbows pressed against my ribs. The back of the camera is far enough out so I can see the LCD & I work the buttons with my thumb. Not perfect, but....

Lovely colors and lighting, Wesley.

I bet that chicken bone looked even better when it had meat on it.

How does the Zeiss 35mm match up size-wise?

Hi Mervis,

Oops on the bone! LOL!

The Zeiss 35/2 is not as big as my 85/1.4, but either one balances well on the K-01, thanks to the 'bigger and heavier body'. Hahaha!! I'm so glad Pentax got it right by not going small and light.

Cheers!
