That's probably the hinge that allows 180degree roation of the screen.

And built in flash...but no hotshoe at all? That makes me believe that it's going to be aimed at P&s, so it wont interfere with the 5n/7 lines.

Not sure on that, as it's obviously the smart accessory port on top, the flash may be on the right of the camera. Need wider pictures of this to confirm.

The top deck looks wide enough for Tri-Navi. I have no idea if it has it or not, but that'd be interesting.

Sorry no better picture, it is sent by my friend from Sony Gathering.

By the way there's new feature : "Peaking Level" for helping manual focus to be easier and more accurate.

I thought we could always set the level of peaking?

Ah yes, I forgot what the accessory port looked like

But yes, the top plate looks rather big, if it has tri-navi then I would regret buying the 7 somewhat

It could also be to house the same flash unit as on the Nex-7. Not to add tri-navi buttons.

16.1Mp - same sensor as 5N?

It's hard to say, because they were able to stick a button between the accessory port and LCD, and there isn't room to do this on the C3.

aren't the low, mid, high in the peaking menu, the peaking level? what could this mean?

the introduction of the pop-up flash as well as a possible tri-navi is exciting! the 180-degree swiveling LCD maybe something like that of the a55.. for the self-portrait crowd.

haha... i'm all for the swing-to-front screen, but not necessarily for myself tho..

with a low price, and if it retains the 5N's excellent video+stills quality, the vloggers are gonna be all over this new camera! Sony may have a new niche market yet

I just picked up another 5N this week, but already I'm chomping at the bit to see this new addition to the NEX family...

Looking forward to seeing the whole camera. I'm sure more pics will be leaked very soon. More interested though in the new E-lens .

Re: Sony Nex-F3: iA mode question
In reply to wll, Jan 20, 2013

Is there a way to tell the camera to focus on a specific subject in iA mode? I don't seem to be able to do that.

For example, I have subjects in different focal planes.  How do I tell the NEX-F3 to focus on a particular subject (not necessary in the middle of frame)  so the others are out of focus?

Thanks in advance for any valuable input.
