Does this only happen with out of camera JPEGs, or RAWs too? Any more details? That sample picture is not exactly a good shot, exposure is off, is it a heavy crop I hope?

I can try to replicate it later to see what it looks like, but I don't have much to go on here (no affiliation with Samsung, just trying to help).

There is no "blue light problem" This is just another F.U.D. post from a Samsung hater. I have taken thousands of pics with my NX200 (JPG and RAW) and not had a single pic with that issue. IN the first post that is an obvious crop of a larger photo that has at least one strong blue light source (see the strong blue light blob to the right of him). In the second photo It's obvious there were some lights around the water to color it (you can also see some orange lights).

If you are a real user, then post your own pics - and please make them full frame (not heavy crops). Since it is so much of a "problem" for you.

I see that the pictures you posted have a single colour channel blown in some areas ... just seems like overexposure to me, but I don't know how bright the light was, so it's hard to know.

On second thought, it is pretty clear this is just a blown channel, considering that there are plenty of blown white areas as well in the pictures. Bad exposure choice or bad RAW settings in your converter, that's all. Nothing to see here, IMHO.

Depends on your colour setting for JPEG, otherwise completely avoidable in RAW.

Try bumping saturation to max on a 5d mk II for their JPEGs.... same story.

looks like bad exposure to me and oversaturation. not exactly a camera's fault.

I presume because no-one else has the problem.

There could be strong sources of different temperature light shining from different directions which would defeat any camera's white balance.

If you feel there is a fault with the camera just get it repaired. I did have a problem with blue light on the left and right edges of the sensor on my NX100 in low light and Samsung fixed it by putting in a new sensor. I have never heard of any other people having this fault.

hi all,

i'm not a "yet another samsung hater", i'm a samsung nx fans indeed.

i'm using nx10 with kit lens and 30mm f2.

i found this blue light problem almost every time when facing a bright blue/violet light.

all jpg and raw... also in video mode.

you can try it your self shotting a blue light led. for dramatic result try to out of focus it.. you will see a big pixel colour damage there.. whatever it names..

he shot those samples in JPEG; the noise grain tells the story. The JPEG engine does suck though, and could do with a bit of improvement as that is usually taken as the headline performance level.
