X100 zone focusing

X100 users. Can you use manual setting, set shutter speed, aperture AND manual focus by setting a preset focus zone while using the plain viewfinder not the EV ?
How bright/large is the viewfinder ? Not like looking through a key hole is it ?

I go back and forth with this camera and if it can do the above I will go for it.
Thanks

Only if the keyhole belongs to a giant at the top of a beanstalk. It's a well-designed viewfinder, very well corrected, bright despite having a LCD overlay, and easy to see wearing glasses. It has lower magnification than any Leica-M finder but much bigger than you expect if you're not a Leica user.

The optical viewfinder is one of the main reasons I bought the X100 and if hasn't disappointed me.

Last silly question although all important ones have been answered and I am stoked!!!

Is there a flash sync socket? I like to use manual flash sometimes.

A PC socket? No, but of course there's a conventional hot shoe to which you can attach a PC socket adapter/dumb flash/wireless remote/whatever of your choice.

It also has a threaded shutter button to take a traditional mechanical release cable, so no overpriced remote cables needed for tripod work.
