The D800/D4 AF issue isn't new
Apr 25, 2012

I see a lot of threads talking about the off-center AF issue with the D800/D4.

I have this exact problem with my D700. Now with my D800E, I am seeing the exact same thing. Off-Center AF is simply not accurate

For once, Canon's AF in the same 'class' (5D3) is actually better. I own both and love the option to use Cross-Type Sensors only in the 5D3.
But IQ wise, I do prefer the D800E...
