"The Beautiful Eyes of a Woman" challenge

The challenge asks for images of women. Now, it doesn't say the woman has to be beautiful, just her eyes. But it did say woman. But this is stretching that definition:

Well, it is a women. I get where youre going with it, but I think its better than some other challenges. Look at the "Ponds" challenge. Youll see photos of ducks, fish, frogs, lilies, etc. Yes, they might be in water, but there is no way of knowing if its a pond. I had an image DQ'ed because the host thought it was too big to be a pond even though my home state biologists say otherwise. Same with "Apathy": LOTS of photos that show emotion, which is NOT apathy. This is the problem I have with challenges.

On the west coast a pond is all but a puddle and on the east coast a pond can be huge. There must be some official definition but I have not checked.

I would have DQ'ed the baby. For me woman means adult but female would cover all ages.

IMO, this image is a good example of everything that is bad about digital photography... plus it clearly doesn't meet the challenge rules.

I was going there, but for now I might stay away from this one after a bit of reading there is a grey area.

Make a Complaint but don't hold your breath . . . MrScorpio most often doesn't DQ Entrants even when they are blatant Cheats.

If some guy said he had a date with a woman and came home holding the subject of that photo, I'd call the police.

Woman. Noun: 1. An adult human female.
In reply to EvokeEmotion, Apr 10, 2012

That photo is of an infant and should be disqualified if the rules demand a woman.

Already did, a few days ago. Nothing was done.

You mean if I'd submitted an image of a stuffed baby orangutan, he would not have done anything? Well, that's always more challenges to test the water.

Right on. Otherwise, the Challenge should've specified "female" instead of "woman" - and the way to prove that could be even more fun. Or embarrassing

I was wondering this myself...why put children into a challenge that clearly states the word 'Woman'? But then again, I often wonder why some photos are in challenges when clearly, in my opinion, they don't belong there...I've come to just accept it and make sure that the photos that I believe don't belong in a challenge, don't get my vote...

That's what I meant by a grey area, once you put (usually, sometimes or can mean ) in there, it's done and dusted.
There were other small woman in there as well, but that's ok with me.

eg if it's used to refer to a term like women's rights. Scroll down to the photo of the woman nursing her infant..they do not say a woman nursing her woman. For direct reference to children you don't use the term woman.

I know that I am only being pedantic here for the sake of it, and to fill in my most boring day for ages.
Could the infant be a boy?

Challenge title mentions "eyes" - many entries have only one eye - DQ?
