Hello,

I am about to acquire a shiny D800 shortly, having only ever shot stills previously.

I'd like to learn the ins and outs of SLR video once I do (have some library books already etc). Do the kind people here know of of any excellent websites / resources / guides for people new to this thing??

Preferably also places with gear reviews, DIY tips (like Strobist etc)...

All help is very welcome!!!

You will soon find out that many companies charge A LOT for video accessories...

Personally, I am not that in to video to spend thousands of $. Another problem that I have is that it is a lot of equipment to carry around with many small parts.
So, I am using my tripod for both shoulder rig and steady cam.
