Mar 19, 2012

Got those lovely images over here

http://www.kleptography.com/dl/5diii/raw/

I processed them with DNG converter+LR 4

Without any hesitation i can say that what i see looks like ISO 6400 on my 5D mk II !

I posted the full size photos over here http://www.flickr.com/photos/54702677@N03/

looks pretty good, wonder why the hands shot looks less grainy thanlast pic of the faces...Is is because its better exposed maybe?

Where did you get your camera? I pre-ordered mine from B&H the same day sit was announced but havent heard anything yet...

They look good. We're not expecting more than a 1 stop improvement over the 5D2, although we would be happy to be surprised, as every bit of ISO helps in wedding photography.

RAW download????
In reply to etto72, Mar 19, 2012

Thanks for posting!

I came across this site the other day but when I clicked the link to download the cr2 RAW file all I got was a page opening in the browser with lots of jumbled coding. THe download link didn't download the file.

Any suggestions on how you managed to download??? Did you have a similar experience at first?

Downloading with IE9 did not work for me either. I used Safari and was able to right-click and save.

These are very good. with the right processing, you can get very usable images right up to 25600.

Evan

PS. At first I was a bit put off, but, the more I see them now, I believe Canon has done a great job with their high iso jpegs.

You have to rename the file ending name as cr2
