Monitor calibration site
Oct 22, 2011

Hey all,

A few months ago, I saw someone link a site on here that offered monitor calibration. It was excellent-- it let me calibrate my monitor using my Nvidia graphic card's control panel to both increase the dynamic range and fix the color clipping problems I had been having. Unfortunately, I had to do a reformat recently and lost all my bookmarks. Does anyone remember what that monitor calibration site might be?

It was a very comprehensive site, allowing you to calibrate for highlights, shadows, color saturation, white balance, gamma, etc. Thanks!

I use that site regularly too. Awesome tools there for effectively calibrating your monitor.

I just wanted to point out that if the light changes in your room... ie, more sunlight during the day, then incandescent lights at night, or perhaps no lights in the room at night... then the calibration will change considerably in different light. These ambient light condition changes affect brightness, contrast and even color balance. Because of this, I also use Calibrize for a quick tool to change the calibration quickly in different light.

Calibrize can be downloaded at http://www.calibrize.com . Combining this with the above mentioned website is a great combination for keeping your monitor calibrated.

Thanks, guys! That was the site-- and I usually do my calibration in darkness-- you're right it changes a great deal depending on the lighting.

Im also downloading that software now and I wonder if there's a way to assign hot keys to different saved monitor profiles with it and if it works with dual monitors to assign a different profile to each monitor. The above would be great because I could just load different color profiles depending on the lighting and different profiles on each monitor!
