Re: Carl's SD1 teaser post

Carl can do this even with prosumer($200) camera There is no reason to buy 10000$ camera.

SPP 5

keeps crashing, when loading image...:(

Intel quadcore, Win7 64bit, 4GB RAM, Radeon HD graphic card (editing full HD video with no problem, but this seems to be to much)
hard times with Sigma again:(

Works OK for me. I was even able to run Genuine Fractal on the resulting 16 bit Tiffs without a crash. Also the Lens Profile Corr'n filter

Try this:

I reported this bug years ago to Sigma Germany.

Reported it again some days ago, but got a reply "we cannot reproduce" with some funny questions like "where did you buy your camera" and "you can call 0900 / 153 2000 (69ct/m)"...

Re: SPP 5

I tried it on two machines (windows 7), and SPP 5.0 crashes on both when reading a file. Still haven't managed to open a SD1 file. No problems with other files (SD14, DP1 and 2).

So it must be an additional bug then.

Does anyone know how to send bug reports to Sigma HQ? Using twitter to report bugs to the COO looks a bit strange, and I will not try with Sigma Germany another time, they outsourced their customer support...

Did you try the Number-Format workaround?

Re: Carl's SD1 teaser post

I'm a bit surprised that some of the images show aliasing artifacts - the light red planks on the building, the netting, the water in the image of the two people fishing with the funky color. It looks like in these shots the lens significantly out resolves the sensor.
