If the world came to the end

All the talk about the world ending on 12/21/2012, I was just wondering if it did would you be taking photos of the end. It would be a one in a life time event.

Everybody. Including the latest bunch of doomsday prophets to become a laughing stock.

Let's just watch the Mayan calendar start over, begin a new cycle and call it the end of that cycle.

So the date might not be right, but I refuse to believe our current lifestyles are sustainable. Something's going to give, sooner or later.

Well, your body will give in, sooner or later.

Greetings Guys

I'veI already booked the date, cashed the deposit, and made arrangements with a couple. They just want me to follow them around on that day to do a sort or reportage of their last day. They really are a quirky pair.

Peace
Peter

Well I'm saving up for one of those one billion euro tickets to get on the ship they are building in China.

Maybe sooner than this...

I just looked to my desk calendar, it just ends on december 31, 2011.

I'm frightened.

It won't.

The other good news is, you'll be able to take pics on the Day After.

All what talk? What would be the purpose of taking photos? If there is to be a once in a lifetime event I am sure I would not be playing with a camera.

Re: If the world came to the end

All the "talk" about 2012 being the end of the world holds no more weight that 2000 being the end of the world.

If the Mayan's were smart enough to accurately predict the end of the world, why weren't they smart enough to predict the end of THEIR own civilization?

As for that date, at 11:11 am on December 21, 2012 I will be taking photos.

The End...as we know it.

When I die the world will end. Now for the rest of you that time will vary quite a bit. How many "end of the world" prophecies have we gone through? When it all comes to an end it will not be all that sudden.

World population this year hit 7 billion. By 2030 it will be 8 billion and by 2050 9. Most all of this from under developed countries. Guess how this will bring about the end as we kmow it.

I won't be here so no plans to participate.

You are correct

And the only way out of this predicament is education and opportunity. Women who have opportunity, good jobs and education don't have lots of children. The greedy rich people of the world have to change how they do business and make education and opportunity available to all. Oh wait, that's not likely to happen. So we're all screwed.

Re: You are correct

I would take pictures. I would seal the memory cards in a blast proof box so in a few million years when things sprout up again the future humanoids could process them and see what happened to us.

The world isn't coming to an end. The earth will spin my friends. It's inhabitants will not. We humanoids aren't that powerful.

Stay thirsty my friends.
