Just picked this lens last week and took it with me to the Harbourfront at Lake Ontario in Toronto. I'm liking this lens far more than my former 18-55mm IS lens..

now if only i can afford the f/1.2 version

here is the rest of the album for anyone wanting to check it out:

Looks like you got a good 50mm F1.4 thats focus well on your camera.

I bought one last year spring and did not have luck with my two camera bodies focus issues as distance increase.

Sent it in three times to Canon Mississauga came back better but was not repaired properly.

Eventually Canon replaced it with a new one. Was much better but still had issues.

Sold it 2 days later with full warranty paper from canaon.

I had both bodies sent in for calibration too as all my other lens were focusing properly.

When the lens focused properly shot I got the lens was sharp from F2+

hi thank for sharing. well focused shots.

I really realises now the diferrence in bokeh with the sigma 50 1.4, which is far smoother, glad to have bought it.

hi Martin,

so you're saying your Sigma f/1.4 has much smoother bokeh? Do you have any sample images you can show me? i'd love to see them as i was also considering that lens.

keep in mind the pics i submitted all have ice/white backgrounds (most of them anyways) so that might affect bokeh..
