MagicGate(TM) Memory Stick(R) vs. Memory Stick(R)

What is the difference? The former is used with Sony laptops and the latter with the DSC-F505.

Thanks...

I did my research a while back.

For cameras there's no difference (except the regular MS are cheaper). The MagicGate is some copy protection scheme that's required for recording music.

So that means the drive in the laptop can read the Memory Stick (R)?
