I lend my Oly camera, so this week I was force to use my old Sony F-707.
But cats raise some objection to these changes.

he would have been freshly combed for that shot. I'll have to try again sometime. He does have a big 'mane' (I think that would be the spelling for it, my spelling is bad too!!). That is a trait of a ragdoll, that big mane. They are big cats with a band of long hair around the neck area. Their tails are very fluffy and full too, otherwise they are medium long haired. They don't need much maintenence at all. I would guess if he went outside a lot he would get stickers in his fur though LOL

those cats know the camera that gives them their best shots for their portfolios! Just so funny that they are attacking the cover from the "other" camera!

Ricky plays in Torentino's (Kill Phill)
In reply to MercurySoft1, Jan 20, 2008

As reaction on the Sunday cat move
"Your Hard disks belong me now" (Kill Bill)

There has been man who have tried to take the disk back
"they tried and failed ? they tried and died" (Dune)

Got the idea for the pictures when I found Ricky laying beside a Hdisk when the catastrophe hits the DPreview forum server

was not a stranger to getting into brawls. I get the feeling he was a good buddy of yours. Cherrish every photo you have of him. This is why we need to take a lot of photos of our friends. They are precious.

Nick had a sad history. His original 'owners' were abusive a$$holes who routinely beat him. He ran away from that house after a couple years and lived as an outdoor cat with a neighbor of mine, also a fairly uncaring individual who routinely had her pets die of mysterious causes.

When we moved in next door with our cat Rocky, Nick spotted a good thing coming and began to mooch from both houses. Not a problem for me but the neighbor went ballistic, saying I was 'luring' her cat away from her. OK, he can move on over then which he did.

Never an easy cat to get close to, Nick was about 14 when he settled down with us. Years of abuse, cat/animal fights and a general nobody-caring-about-him history made him a challenge. Eventually he turned into a good house-cat, fairly affectionate, friendly (with us), but never a cat to suffer fools gladly.

One day he yelled to go out at this usual hour (4:30AM). When he didn't come back for breakfast I went looking for him and found his body with a goodly amount of raccoon fur scattered around. Buried him in the backyard with a couple of his favorite toys.

The neighbor, by the way, was completely unconcerned. "Oh yeah? Oh, well, what can you say..."

Karma's comin' to us all.

We always look forward to your weekly cat thread, thank you for the initiative and keep them coming. Wolfgang is getting on to 9 years now and is still the source of much entertainment and mischief, when he’s not sleeping or eating….o.k….he spends most of his life stretched out upside down asleep.
