new sony 24-70 f2.8? SSM
my friend just tested the lens.....
The focussing speed is amazing...and the minimum focus distance is 30cm......
i have the picture of the lens but...i don't know how to upload picture in this forum....
The price is around US$1700-1800
why did you post asking a question on how much it is, then post again telling us how much it is?
ah right, cool. cheers for the photos. been waiting on a baby like this for almost 10 years!
Gorgeous lens. I have the 28-70mm 2.8G and I love it. This guy will be a real heavyweight (77mm vs 72mm filter size on the G, lots of glass, looks to be internal focusing & zoom same as the G). wow
Ever since Canon's 24-105 IS and 85/1.2 II, I have observed a trend towards increased lens price. I was not surprised to see Sony substantially raised their prices of rebadged Minolta version and my prediction was correct, looking at the price tags carried by Nikon's new lenses. However there is also a substantial room for street price to drop in time.
Gorgeous lens. I have the 28-70mm 2.8G and I love it.
this is completely another story.
This is Sonnar. It will be no more images as from 28-70G
These prices are amazing. The camera body is the hook, the lens is where they make the serious money.
I'm wondering how much is the price for this incridible lens?
What is incredible about it?
F2.8 is not that fast.
70mm on full-frame is not that long. Too short for portraits.
24mm on aps-c in not that wide.
And for all the above compromises it costs a lot of money and is no doubt heavy.
I will now don my flame proof coat....
