actually, both batteries produce the same power... 7.4V... and the
BP-511 is rated at more than 360mAH!...

the reason i want the BP isn't battery life.. it is for commonality
with other Canon DSLRs!

Ok, I just checked my 3 batteries and they are all the NB-2L (not LH) so I can't comment on the Canon brand LH... but I still want a common battery between any (non-pro) bodies!

Re: Canon 360. What I wish for...

Actually, thinking about it, a 3d / stereo version. 2 sensors, 2 canon mounts, both lenses driven together.

But I don't think they'd sell a lot... Then again maybe they would sell, 3d used to be very very popular, but it was considered too difficult for non pros to shoot and so it fell out of favour when lots of amateur gear came on the market. Since then the pro market has mostly been driven by the amateur and so 3d dropped out then. Now you could build amateur 3d gear like a twin 350 and sell it for a reasonable amount. Perhaps it would drive a resurgence of 3d?

Cheers Jason =:)
