Just thought I would let you guys know the price for the D100. A close friend is a district manager for a large camera retailer and has a brother that works for Nikons marketing department. He said the price is going to be $1999. He said also that there will be substantial promotions with the camera. One to mention is any VR lense at half off with the purchase of the camera. He added that Nikon is trying to change their history of not having enough cameras to go around. He said the camera is already in/past production but they don't want to distribute them until they know they can meet demand.
