I ordered a S602 on 4/10 for $619 delivered (in the US). I just received this email from Dell:

"We have reviewed your order # xxx, and although we had anticipated
being able to ship your order sooner, we are experiencing an unexpected
delay. We will not be able to ship your order until 4/29/02. We apologize
for this inconvenience, and are doing everything we can to get your order
out to you as quickly as possible."

FWIW, I still think that Dell is being unrealistic about the date. But at that price, I can wait for a while and continue to shoot with my 4900. Dell still shows the list price at $699 before discounts for new orders.
