I purchased my G2 approx. 2 1/2 months ago and about 1 week later I notices what I thought was a scratch on the back of my camera underneath the pivot of the screen. When at the jewellers I used his loop to see the scratch more closely and noticed that it was infact a stress crack.

I took the camera back to the retailer in Toronto and he told me that I must have dropped it. If I did it would be one thing, but the camera was only one week old, I keep it in a protective bag, and I know for a fact that it has never fallen. With a $1500.00 CDN investment you better beleive I take good care of it.

Anyhow I was just wondering if the screen actually hinges onto the outside body. If it doesn't maybe I should just ignore it.

Has anybody else ever seen something like this. At the store they tell me that canon would probably refuse to take responsibility for this.
