Hi

I hope someone here can help, I am in the market for a new lens for
my D2H and am currently using an old Tokina 28-70 ATX Pro f/2.8.

In Aus the rrprice for the AF-S Zoom-Nikkor 28-70mm f/2.8D IF-ED is
AU$4000 and i was wondering if there is any justification for
paying AU$3000 or more for a lens when I can get one of the others
for AU$500-900.

My camera is used for just about any occaision you can think of ie:
sports aviation, general people, landscape and travel photography.
I plan to get the AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8G IF-ED at some
stage to replace my Tamron 70-300 f/4-5.6 LD Macro, but my Tokina
has just about had it and seriously needs replacing.

Thanks in advance

Hi Zoran,

May be this can help. I have done some evaluation of the Tamron
28-75 XR Di in the following thread.

Learning is a fun process!!

Thanks Mate thats a start but what I'd love to see is a side by side comparison with the various lenses...

Its a bit much to hope for but it would be good....
