4500 grinding sound and system error

Hi!

After 1.5 years of happy work with my coolpix 4500
I switched it on and:
1) loud grinding, clicking sound for 20 seconds
2) then less loud humming for another 20 seconds
3) message Systemerror
4) no reaction on any controls

Only after battery removal one can restart.
But then the same happens again.

Has somebody had the same problem?

Warranty is prop. gone.
