10D PC terminal voltage capacity?

Does anyone know what the voltage capacity of the 10D's PC terminal (on the left side of body) is? Can it accommodate a high voltage - studio type flash? The manual (pg. 106) states not to use the "hot shoe" for a high voltage flash, but no mention is made of the PC terminal.
