>>>Challenge 16: FRUITS & VEGGIES<<<
May 21, 2004

Thank You all for voting for my images, for taking the time out to put in comments and for just looking at them. I greatly appreciate it. Love these challenges as it makes me take photographs which I normally may not have taken. There were some amazing shots in this challenge and some amazing talent in this forum.

Thanks also to Paper Tiger for hosting the LOVE challenge which I thoroughly enjoyed and also to Olaf and Iso3200 for helping it along.

Regarding the next Challenge topic, I have picked one that should be easy enough for one to be able to shoot and capture without having to undertake arduous treks or journeys though, of course, that is also very welcome if one wants to capture that ‘elusive’ shot. In fact, you can pretty much take shots for this challenge in the comfort of your kitchen using natural light or in the supermarket or even in your kitchen garden. I sincerely hope that there will be huge amount of photographs in this challenge and encourage all and sundry to participate!

This challenge is about capturing Fruits and Vegetables in a different light. In essence, lets explore our creativity and imagination in taking shots which are out of the ordinary, making fruits and veggies look like … well … pieces of art. Some ideas would be to do some interesting macro shots, using liquid or water with fruits falling in, taking shots in the supermarket or open Vegetable markets, fruits hanging from trees, etc.

Essentially this challenge encompasses a lot and am sure that all you wonderful folks will come up with your own personal interpretation of this which will be very special.
