You need to multiply the focal length by 1.5. So this lens would be 105-450 on the D70. To shoot handheld at 450, you will need to have a fairly fast shutter speed. A general rule is 1/focal length. So at 450mm you would want a shutter speed of 1/450 or faster. If you have steady hands, you can try slower speeds.
