NEFs in PS CS

If you have Photoshop CS, there is an update to the Camera Raw plug-in (now ver. 2.2) available on Adobe's site for download. It adds direct support for the D70 NEFs.

As a side note, if you have installed NC 4.1 after PS CS - it has installed it's own RAW converter into Photoshop as a plug-in. If you leave it there, PS CS will use it instead of the Camera Raw 2.2 native version. If you want the full functionality of Adobe Camera Raw, you will need to remove the file "Nikon NEF Plugin.8Bi" from the "\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop CS\Plug-Ins\Adobe Photoshop Only\File Formats" directory.

the free nikon view 6.2 download automatically puts the 'nef'
plug-in into PS7, and from there you convert it to 'tiff' anyway,
and do what you want.

all the best,
tom

I know there's a D70 RAW plug-in for Photoshop CS, but do you have
to upgrade to CD? Or is there a plug-in for PS 7.0 somewhere?

Thanks,
Mike
